TENANT DEPOSIT PROTECTION

As you may be aware the Government has introduced protection for tenant’s deposits for tenancies commencing on or after the 6th April 2007. It will no longer be possible to request, accept or retain deposits from tenants to cover dilapidations arising from the tenancy; unless under an approved scheme.

Central Property Lettings has now registered with The Deposit Protection Service (The DPS). This is a custodial scheme and is free to use. Deposits will be protected in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the DPS.
